Eligibility Criteria:
·
Age Limit (as on May 1, 2025):
o Minimum: 18 years
o Maximum: 37 years
o Relaxation in age may be provided for Adhoc
staff working in Islamia Schools under the Punjab Waqf Board (5 years).

Educational Qualifications:
o NTT: Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50%
marks AND a 2-year Diploma in Nursery Teachers Education/Pre-School
Education/Early Childhood Education Program (D.E.C.Ed) from an NCTE recognized
institution.
o Primary Teacher: Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50%
marks AND a 2nd class Diploma in Elementary Education relevant subjects
& a certificate of having qualified for the Punjab State Teacher
Eligibility Test – I (PSTET-I).
o TGT:1 2nd class Bachelor Degree in the concerned
subject from a recognized university with a B.Ed. & certificate of having
qualified for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET).
o Diniyat Teacher: 2nd class certificate in Alim and Fazil.
Preference will be given to Hafiz.
o Computer Teacher: 2nd class degree of BCA or B.Sc. (IT/Computer
Science/Internet Science/Information System/Information Science) OR B.E./B.Tech.
(IT/Computer Science) or equivalent OR M.Tech. (Computer Science) or M.Sc.
(Networking and Protocol Designing) or M.Sc. (IT) (LE).2
o PGT: 2nd class Master's Degree in the concerned
subject from a recognized university with a B.Ed.
o Physical Education
Teacher: 2nd class degree in
B.P.Ed. and a certificate of having qualified Punjab State Teacher Eligibility
Test (PSTET).
o Clerk: Graduation and3 a Basic Computer Certificate.
o Peon & Sweeper: Passed 12th from any recognized Board.
o Gatekeeper & Aaya: Passed 10th from any recognized Board.

Punjabi Language Proficiency: For all categories except Sweeper and Deeniyat Teachers,
candidates must have passed Punjabi up to Matric standard or its equivalent, or
passed the Punjabi Language Proficiency Test conducted by the Department of
Languages, Government of Punjab. For Deeniyat teachers, preference will be
given to Punjabi knowing candidates.

Experience:
Mandatory for certain posts (e.g., 3 years for teaching positions, 1 year for
Diniyat and Group D posts in previous cycles). Please refer to the official

Selection Process:
The selection process
for teaching posts typically involves:

Written Test:
100 questions (1 mark each). 75 questions will be subject-oriented, and 25
questions will be based on Logical Reasoning, Mental Ability, English
Comprehension, Current Affairs & General Knowledge (including History,
General Science, Geography).
2.
Class Demo:
25 marks (for teaching positions).
3.
Interview: 25 marks.
Salary (Fixed):

Teacher: ₹15,500/month

₹16,500/month (approx.)

Group D: At rates
fixed by the labour department.
o Note: No DA or any
other allowance/perks/facility will be paid during and after probation.
