The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the commencement of the online application process for the UGC NET December 2024 examination. This exam aims to determine the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professorship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) across Indian universities and colleges.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualification:

   • Master’s degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD) in subjects such as Humanities, Social Sciences, or Computer Science.
   • Candidates appearing in the final year of their Master’s degree can also apply.

2. Age Limit:

   • JRF: Maximum 31 years as of December 31, 2024 (age relaxation available for reserved categories).
   • Assistant Professorship: No age limit.

2. Registration:
   • Click on the “Apply Online” link.
   • Register with a valid email ID and mobile number.
3. Fill the Application Form:
   • Provide accurate personal, academic, and contact details.
4. Upload Documents:
   • Recent passport-size photograph (10 KB–200 KB).
   • Scanned signature (4 KB–30 KB).
   • Category certificate (if applicable).
5. Payment of Fees:
• General: ₹1,150/-
• OBC-NCL/EWS: ₹600/-
• SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: ₹325/-
• Payment can be made via credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI.
